Next week we are going to spend together
Those were the days of awards season in Hollywood. As we were getting ready to shoot another episode of my red carpet show “Faces & Names” I saw an unfamiliar young man walking in my direction. Starring straight at me with the blue look in his eyes, displaying unshakable confidence he put his arm around my shoulders and announced : ” So, Agata, next week we are going to spend together. That’ll be enough for us to get in trouble and start hating each other!”
As it turned out, this daring youngster was our new cameraman Mike Alba and indeed we were set to go together to Australia to tape my new interview show “Autograph” with the stars of the big Hollywood movie “The Quiet American” on the set of 20Th Century Fox studios in Sidney.
Needless to say that after such an introduction I most sincerely started hating him from the go.
Fifteen years and many personal adventures and professional experiences later I count him among my few forever friends. He is all grown up and became one of the most sought-after cinematographers in Hollywood.
